MeNow Concealer Pen Review

There's  something about concealers that makes me want to invest on them. From hiding blemishes to highlighting,  I just can't  get enough on how flexible and practical they are. Of course,  if you know me,  I'm super kuripot.  I don't  usually spend a lot of money on a product. Therefore,  I always search for affordable quality make up.

Thus,  when I saw MeNow releasing tons of make up products,  I got excited. Their contour palette and kissproofs are above my expectations. Not perfect but you can work with it.

I saw their MeNow Concealer Pen on Shopee and decided to test it out. It's  worth 60 pesos which is pretty cheap for a concealer.

As you can see,  it comes with a small box and inside is where the concealer is. I'm  pretty surprised on the size of the product. Since it's  small. I expected it to be larger and thicker. In my opinion, it's expensive for the size since you can buy other concealers worth 80 to 100 with more content in it. Moving on, It's plastic which is okay for me. My problem with it is it does not have a twist design, so you have to sharpen it which can sometimes be a waste of product for me.

I absolutely hate the texture because it was like a crayon. It does not glide smoothly and it was so hard to blend. I even contacted the seller if she knew that the texture was like that,  but alas she didn't  reply.  I couldn't  try it on my face because it does not transfer well. In the picture,  I tried it on my birthmark which is such a fail really.

After I swatched it on my hand,  the first tip is already gone so I had to sharpen it.

Surprisingly,  the texture changed a little bit. It became softer but still a little hard to blend.

Verdict:
I will be pretty harsh on this one because it's reaaally hard to use. I will not buy this concealer again and just go for their cream concealers which is much much better than this product.

Love,

MeNow Kissproof Review with Swatches.

This post is long over due since I bought these two MeNow Kissproof babies weeks ago. I've been really busy with a lot of things lately since I've started creating a Youtube channel. I swear it's fun and hassle at the same time. However, I'm really enjoying blogging and "vlogging". Anyway, This post is my first impression and review of the current budget rave which is this MeNow Kissproof. I've watched and read a lot of reviews on this product and it pretty much gathered more positive reviews than negative ones. So I bought this product in hopes of being satisfied by it. MeNow Kissproof is only 50 pesos each and I'll put the link of my seller below.

Note: I only bought two shades since I only want to try it and I don't have an unlimited amount of money to purchase all the shades.

If you haven't heard of MeNow brand yet, I think that it's under a China company. It also claims that it's products have been approved already. (For more information check their site: http://www.iou-mn.com/about.html). I'm not sure if this is safe for everyone since it's very cheap. However, If you have a very sensitive skin and is afraid of trying this out, then don't.
Disclaimer: This review is based on my experience only and I'm not sure if this will work out the same for my readers.

So this is how it looks like:

I already threw the box away so I don't have a picture of it but let's just focus on the product packaging. Like any beauty product, it comes in a box (which I threw away, sorry). The product itself looks like a crayon and not your natural lipstick look. This type of lipstick has emerged recently and almost all beauty brands have a crayon lipstick line so this is not a surprise. However, what I was confused at first was how it's not the twist type like most brand have. Instead you need to sharpen it once you've used the tip which is a little hassle for me. Plus, it has a distinct sharpener because it's pretty large so it won't fit in the natural sharpener. This is a minus for me. I like the tip, on the other hand, because it's really tight so you won't have that my-lipstick-thrashed-my-bag feel whenever you think that the cap of your lippie opened in your bag. Overall, the packaging does not look bad. It surprisingly does not look cheap at all.

These are the swatches. I bought #6 and #9. The product has no smell whatsoever which is good because you will not get irritated by the smell. What I noticed about the product is it's highly pigmented which is a good thing considering this is so cheap. However, both products are not consistent in a way that #9 is harder to apply than #6. The color payoff of #9 does not stick to the lips after 1-2 swipes but it glided smoothly on my palm. (I don't know why). Moreover, this is drying to the lips. I'm not satisfied by it since it really clumps on your lips like crazy.

BUT, let's see if this is really kissproof: (These pictures are real, I did not cheat in any way, xoxo)

As you can see, it did not transfer at all. I drank water, ate food and even kissed my palm. This product exceeded my expectation in their kissproof claim.

Longevity:

I applied my kissproof at around 10 am in the morning and I did my usual routine. I ate and drink lunch and snacks. I got back after 4 hours, I took this picture at around 2 pm. As you can see some of the product is already gone. It did last average considering the price of the product. The clumps, however, started to form on my lips which is not appealing at all.

In this case, you need to fix it already. However, I have an issue with applying too much of this product since it really clumps on your lips. Moreover, it's not lightweight so you can really feel it and it's uncomfortable. Plus, it's also drying for the lips. What I suggest is remove it using a make-up wipe, baby oil or Nivea creme then apply it again. It's hassle, more so if you're outside but you get what you pay for.

Moving on, this product is not that hard to remove in my case. I just used my Clean & Clear foaming face wash and rubbed it on my lips, and it was removed completely.

In summary:
Price: 5/5
Packaging: 3/5
Pigment: 4/5
Fragrance: 5/5
Longevity: 3.5/5

Verdict:
If I don't have the budget to buy lippies, I can tolerate this product since it did perform well for it's price. However, I really don't like how it makes your lips look really dry even though it's not. So I guess I'll be wearing a lip balm underneath it in the future.

MeNow 15 Color Contour Cream Series Review

Hey loves! I waited to post my review on this one after I'm done with editing and finalizing my color correcting and contouring tutorial on Youtube.

Before I put the link in this post, I'll start with the product review first. So I bought this product mainly because it's very C H E A P. It only costs a whopping 150 pesos about $3.20. At first glance, I thought that maybe the reason why this is so cheap is because it's fake. There are a lot of sg cosmetics sold nowadays so I asked the seller if this is authentic before buying it. She told me that it was indeed authentic but I'm not sure about it because some sellers lie about the authenticity of the product. I bought it anyways because I saw that it was a China brand and noticed that all of the sellers who have products from MeNow brand offer cheap prices. I took a shot and I'm glad I did because it performed well beyond my expectations.

So I'll just copy my brand background from my MeNow TrueLips Lip Liner review.
A brief background of what I know about the MeNow brand is it's made in China. They're known for their amazing kissproof lipsticks and it's very affordable. I read that it follows US regulations in cosmetics in one description at shopee. (For more information check their site: http://www.iou-mn.com/about.html) However, if you guys have sensitive skin and are scared to try this then don't. I don't know if this is completely safe so try this at your own risk. I'm merely reviewing my experience in this product.

The product packaging looks like a normal palette.

It has a plastic cover which is pretty durable for it's price. It's also very handy for a 15 concealer palette since it's petite. The products are placed neatly inside the palette. Inside the box, you'll see the product description an a little picture tutorial. Overall, I loved the packaging.

I don't know if there are harmful ingredients on this product but check it out guys. In my experience, I did not have breakouts using this product but we all have different skin sensitivity so I can't say if this will be okay with all of you.

Swatches:

I'm amazed about the flexibility of this product because it's like an all in one palette. It can be used for color correcting and contouring. In addition, it also has an illuminator for added glow which is the white shade. So the flexibility is perfect. For the product itself, it's creamy and glides smoothly on the skin. I'm very surprised to see that it is indeed pigmented. The swatches you can see at my pictures is just one swipe. The smell, on the other hand, is unpleasant. For me, I can get over it after a while but I don't know if you guys will like it.

So this is my color correcting and contouring tutorial:

I shot the video at around 10:30 am in the morning. It's really easy to blend when you use a nice tool. I used sponges for my video that's why it took me longer to blend. I already tried blending it with a brush and it was much easier. What I noticed is that it's not that pigmented once blended because you can see traces of my dark undereye circles even if I blend it with a brush. HOWEVER, it's really great for only 150 pesos.

(I actually wiped my lip liner already in this picture because it kept on transferring to my food)
I took this picture at around 2:40 pm that's 4 hours and 10 minutes apart, my face got really oily so I blotted it first before taking a picture. As you can almost all the product is completely gone. You can really notice my under eye circles. It's also very hard to retouch because you've added so many layers on your face that you're pores start to suffocate. OH, by the way, this is not that light on the face so you can feel that you have make up on. But for me it's bearable.

In summary:
Packaging: 5/5
Smell: 2/5
Pigment: 4/5
Price: 5/5
Flexibility: 5/5
Longevity: 3/5

Verdict:
I will try other contouring products that are also cheap. This actually a great product for it's price but the longevity is not that great so I'm torn.

IF YOU GUYS ARE INTERESTED, I will be putting the link of the seller below. She's really great. She even gave me freebies! YAY

Love,

MeNow True lips Lip Liner Pencil with swatches Review

OMG guys I discovered an online "divisoria" shop which is Shopee.ph. If you live here in the Philippines, I'm 70% sure that you've heard about Divisoria. It's a place where items cost less than what we see at malls. Plus, you can haggle prices too. BUT here in Shopee, you won't be able to haggle prices (I think). Not that you'll want to since almost all the items I see there are so cheap already. Anyway, be sure to check the site guys because you'll see a lot of stuff in there. However, since it's online, it's pretty hard to trust fully on the sellers. My tip is check the ratings and comments before purchasing the product you like. AND for the safety of your money, choose Cash on Delivery option. Although not all items are applicable for this option.

ANYWAY, I'll share one of my purchases (since I bought quite a few and I'll post about the others too) which is the MeNow True Lips Lip Liner box. It consists of 12 lip liners for only 150 pesos! So basically one lip liner costs like 12.50 pesos only.

This product has a LOOOONG list of ingredients that I don't know about. So again, I'm not sure if this is safe so try at your own risk. Another thing, if you guys know anything harmful in the list just comment down below so we'll know.

Here are the 12 lip liners. As you can see, it has a girly look in it. Moreover, you'll never guess that this product only costs 150 pesos for all pencils because it actually has a neat look. In addition, the cap fits snugly so you will not be worried if you put this in your bag. I have no problems regarding its packaging.

Product Desciption:
Provides exceptional lip make-up results. Gives a steady stroke to develop neatly-outlined lips.
Waterproof, multi-vitamin, and enriched with aloe vera.

Swatches: #60 at the top to #46 at the bottom
Colors are: #60, #59, #58, #57, #56, #55, #54, #53, #52, #51, #50 and #46
The colors are by numbers:

All lipliners are pigmented which I'm surprised about since it's so cheap. But, some lip liners are less pigmented than the others especially the light ones so it's harder to apply. Moreover, the liners are not that soft so after all the swatches my lips hurt a little. I did use this yesterday and it did not hurt. So my tip to you guys is don't use this more than once a day because chances are it'll hurt. In addition, some of the colors don't match the shades they're supposed to be like for #55 which is supposed to look like dark violet, turned out blazing red. It is also not waterproof unlike what the brand claims. You can easily remove it from your lips. There are also good comments about this product. The first thing is it lasts long. I wore this yesterday and it did not fade the whole day even though it's not waterproof. Moreover, it's light on the lips like you're not wearing any lippie.

In summary,

What I like:
- It's very cheap
- It's pigmented
- It lasts long
- Light on the lips

What I don't like
- It's not that soft
- the colors are not consistent
- It's not waterproof
- Not sure if it's safe

Verdict:
You can't expect so much from super cheap products. However, I'm starting to like MeNow products because they perform well for the price we pay. Hopefully, this product will not cause any harm in the future.

If you guys still decide to buy this, I strongly recommend this seller. She is very approachable. You can talk to her and confirm your product. I had a hassle-free transaction with this seller. I'll put the link down below:
