Kaye G Naturelle Lip Tint Review and Swatches | Affordable Local Lip Tints?

It's been a while since I reviewed a makeup product, so why not start again with something affordable, local and trending, right?

We'll focus on Kaye G Naturelle Lip & Cheek Tints today. First and foremost, Kaye G Naturelle is owned by Kaye Gomez, a Filipina entrepreneur, who focuses on organic and safe beauty products. It's an online shop which buyers can reach through Facebook and Instagram. (Links will be provided at the end of the article). P.S. The shop does not only offer cheek and lip tints but has a wide variety of makeup and skin care products as well, therefore, it's worth visiting!

The cheek and lip tints have 5 variations: Dolly Pink, Peach, Burgundy, Apple and Prunes with each costing Php 120. A fair price for an organic lip tint. Did I say organic? Yup! Their products are 100% organic with key ingredients of Aloe Vera Extract, Vitamin E, Glycerine, Food Grade Colorant, Flavorant and Natural Preservatives. This means that it's safe for kids, teens, pregnant and lactating moms. In addition, their ingredients are all FDA approved for cosmetics.

Let's start with my review on the product itself. The packaging for me was a little inconvenient for the tint. It has a roll on type pack which is common. However, the texture of this tint isn't watery and more of a gel product which makes it harder to apply in a roll on. A lip cream type of packaging would make it perfect for application. The price, on the other hand, is normal for 120 pesos - not expensive and not too cheap either.

For the performance of the product, I personally like the taste and smell. It has a bubblegum scent with no bitter taste unlike other tints I've tried. It's also lightweight and dries easily on the lips which makes it look like the natural color of your lips. Have caution in applying on the cheeks though since it dries up after seconds of application. The longevity is a plus since it stays up all day and it was even hard to remove when I did my swatches.

Overall, this is a good buy. It has various shades to choose from and the product has a great performance. My only comment would be on the packaging since I had a bit of problem in applying the product. I would give this an 8/10. Perfect if they somehow change the packaging in the future.

Careline Kiss Sticks Product Review

It's been a while since I posted a product review, hope this article helps for you! (I can't believe that one rhymed, lol)

Anyways, the product that I would be reviewing today is the very popular new-ish release of Careline which is their Kiss Sticks line. It's a lipstick line where in they designed it as a pen type product. But what makes it so popular and special?

First is the availability of this product, we all know Careline is in almost all department stores nationwide. And recently, they are also in partnership with Beauty Mnl which is a well-known and reliable online shop here in the Philippines. All of these makes Careline Kiss Sticks convenient and available for purchase in just the tip of your hand. In addition, they offer 12 shades which almost ranges to all your needs - from nude to red and even green and purple.

The packaging, on the other hand, is a normal pen type lipstick with the brand logo and the very unique and I must say the one I like the most is their tagline which is "Better than basic". At first glance, you will only see the normal pen type pencil but when you pull the top tip of the lippie, you will see their built-in sharpener. I'm shookt. Literally. I didn't expect a sharpener because you can twist it to have more product unlike other lippies which needs it. But, if you prefer a sharp pointed lippie and not the rounded one, then the built-in sharpener gives you a choice.

Let's get on the most awaited part which is the product itself. For me, it lives up to its claim that it glides smoothly on the lips because you wouldn't feel dryness once applied. Plus, the pigmentation is really great because one swipe and you'll see the vibrant color of the lipstick. Although, you will need to exfoliate your lips before applying it because the product will highlight the dryness of your lips. For those looking for kissproof lipsticks, well, this is not for you because it transfers.

Overall, I like this product very much. It's affordable with only P175 pesos each and Careline didn't sacrifice the quality of the product. It transfers but it is very lightweight so retouch isn't a hassle. What do you guys think of this product?

Rucy's Vanity Waterproof Mascara Review

Mascaras have always been my go-to makeup. If I'm in a rush or just plain lazy, I always put on a light swipe of my favorite Mascara. There's just something about having crazy long and bold lashes that I love. In addition, I find it less hassle than putting on falsies. I'm horrible at applying falsies, the glue always messes it up! (Yes Fris blame it on the glue..)

Anyway, this is why I'm always hungry for Mascaras. (You know me, it's always going to come back with food). There are a lot of mascaras in the market. What I look for is first - it should be water proof, second - the specified category of lengthening lashes which differs in their wand. Now, Rucy's Vanity - a Korean cosmetics online brand here in the Philippines - offered to give me their product for a review. I actually have the haul here. This time, I will write a detailed review on their product - Rucy's Vanity Waterproof Mascara.

Since Rucy's Vanity is an online store, it's pretty much accessible to all internet users at http://rucysvanityph.com/. Also, a plus side is that it's really affordable with Php 180.00 pesos per piece. For a waterproof mascara, it's already a steal. The packaging, on the other hand, is a classic black which is a safe choice. I'm okay with this because it's simple and sleek. Moreover, the cap twists smoothly which makes it easy to use.

The mascara wand is very convenient with its thin bristles. This lets you apply the product smoothly without bumping to the skin around your eyes. Although, it does clump a little which can be fixed with a little bit of zigzag motion whilst applying.

RESULTS:

As you can see, it really lengthen and made my lashes look bolder. Although, it did have clumps which I'm a little disappointed at. However, this survived my cry fest while watching Weightlifting Kim Bok Joo which proves that it really is waterproof.

VERDICT:

This is a steal because it's made in Korea and is affordable. Most Korean cosmetics are really expensive so it's a breath of fresh air to encounter a cheaper one. The product is high quality and waterproof so thumbs up. The only problem is that it clumps a little, just apply in zigzag motion. I will buy this for sure!

Rucy's Vanity Haul & First Impressions

Korean makeup is a booming trend nowadays. Thus, a lot of people, including me, love to try out cosmetics made from Korea since it's known for its quality and exquisite products. As such, Korean cosmetics are often priced more expensive than drug store makeup. When I heard about Rucy's Vanity PH - an affordable cosmetics brand here in the Philippines that produces Korean made high quality beauty products - I was ecstatic. They sent me their make-up products that can be used for a whole Korean make-up look.

This post will be my Rucy's Vanity Haul and first impressions since I plan to review all of these products in individual posts. The reason is that I feel like if I reviewed all of these in one post, it would be too long. Therefore, I will posts reviews on each product.

Here's the haul:

1.) Rucy's Vanity Two- Way Cake

- This is the two- way cake foundation of Rucy's Vanity priced at Php 250.00. The price can actually be patterned to drug store cosmetics here in the Philippines. It's a breath of fresh air, really, since it's hard to find affordable Korean cosmetics.

It only has two shades: Natural Beige (for fair skin), Dark Beige (for Morena). It's a little bit short on the variations and I'm hoping they release more options for this foundation. What I love about this is their packaging. It's very classy with its white overall color and a hint of pink. Once you open it, you can see the powder puff on top of a clear cap which reminds me of BB cushions. It's very innovative which is a plus for me.

2.) Rucy's Vanity Lip & Cheek Red

- This is their version of lip and cheek tint priced at Php 80.00 for 8ml. At first, I was disappointed because for the price, 8 ml seems so small. However, once I tried this, I changed my mind. It's very pigmented, I'm not even kidding. For a small dot, you can have rosy cheeks.

3.) Rucy's Vanity Waterproof Mascara

- Their waterproof mascara is very affordable priced at Php 180.00. It's in a very simple and sleek packaging. The cap twists smoothly. So far, I have no trouble with the packaging.

The mascara wand is very convenient with its thin bristles. This lets you apply the product smoothly without bumping to the skin around your eyes. Although, it does clump a little which can be fixed with a little bit of zigzag motion whilst applying. (This actually survived the sad moments of Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo)

4.) Rucy's Vanity Waterproof Eyeliner

- Their eyeliner is smaller than the mascara and is priced at Php 160.00. I would have preferred it to be longer so its easier to apply. (Somehow my usual problem with eyeliners are how small their wands are)

I love how thin the tip is because it makes it easier to control. Plus, you can form subtle thin lines on your eyes which is great for your daily look and is perfect if your going for the Korean makeup look.

5.) Rucy's Vanity Auto Eyebrow Pencil

- Their eyebrow pencil comes in three colors: black, brown, and grey. This gives customers a wide range of options to choose from which I love. Plus, it has a very affordable price at Php 80.00. I liked the packaging simply because it's sturdy and smooth. Plus, simple elegance is a way to go.

Verdict:

I love Rucys Vanity because not only are they affordable but they also have high quality products. What more can a makeup lover want, right? My favorites (Yes, with an s because I'm like that) are the Cheek & Lip Red, Auto Eyebrow Pencil & Two- Way cake. I think these three stood out from the rest because they're exceptional with their pigment and smooth feel. Although I would have loved if the two-way cake had a dewy finish.

I hope you guys loved this haul! I would be writing a full review for each items by next week so wait for it.

Beauty Now and Next Lip Collection Review with Swatches

Christmas passed, but that doesn't mean gift giving is paused until next year. No, people still have occasions where in a special token is well appreciated. The product I'm going to review today is a perfect surprise for makeup lovers. I recently stumbled upon a great gift set in Watsons.  Most of us know that Watsons - a local drugstore which sells beauty,  medicine, food,  and many more - release perfectly affordable gift sets throughout the year.

The Beauty Now and Next gift set contains 8 lippies all in all - 4 lipsticks and 4 lipglosses. It's very versatile because the colors have light pink to vampy red in it.  What's great about this set is it only costs 250 pesos. Certainly a cheap steal, right?  Plus,  if you prefer nudes,  they also have a set for those too. I bought this particular set because it has lipglosses.

The packaging of the lipsticks are not sturdy.  It kind of feels like a toy.  You have to be careful when twisting it because it gets stuck. In addition,  it does not have a great look all in all.

The lipglosses, on the other hand, I love.  It looks so cute with it's thin and small body. It's great to bring when traveling since it's very portable.  The twist cap is also very smooth unlike the packaging in the lipsticks.

For the product,  the lipsticks are quite the disappointment because it does not apply smoothly at all. The pigment is also not that high but you can work with it.  It's also not moisturizing and not drying too - just normal. However, it's matte and lasts about 5 hours. Not bad for the affordable price.  The lipglosses, on the other hand,  I can rave about them all day long.  I just love love how it feels on my lips. It's very moisturizing. Although,  it's not that pigmented. Both lippies are not transfer proof so that's a thing you can consider.

Verdict:

For 250 pesos, I can work with these lippies.  I love how affordable they are.  Although this set is not that above average, you can work with it.  If they release more colors in this set,  I will buy again because it's very affordable and I'm in love with their lipgloss.

Ever Bilena (EB) Extreme Lipstick Review

If you've followed my posts, you'll know that I love lippies. I also believe in the trending quote "A girl can never have too many lipsticks". Thus, I present to you, my dear readers, another Ever Bilena lippie product review.

EB Extreme Lipstick has a distinct red body which is in all the color variations. Personally, I love the packaging because it looks really classy with its Marilyn Monroe red. However, It would have looked better if the body is matte like the one in EB matte lipsticks. Although, I do feel like they made the packaging glossy because of the product itself is in the glossy side of lipsticks.

I bought these two buy one take one for only Php 169.00. It's definitely cheaper than other well-known brands who also produce high quality lipsticks.

I have two colors: Hollywood Red and Bubblegum. The colors are really vibrant. A little goes a long way because it's highly pigmented. It's also moisturizing to the lips so you wouldn't be bothered all day. However, it does transfer so retouch is a must. Nevertheless, it's not drying to your lips making it great for retouch.

Verdict:

This is one of my favorite affordable lippies. Ever Bilena has done a great job in releasing great quality lipsticks that are worth your every penny. I would definitely buy again.

P.S. - I have a video of my top affordable lippies so far, feel free to check it out! xoxo

Daiso Blush Review: Ellefar Princess Duo Color Cheek

Daiso has always been a safe haven for people who seek cheap thrills. Imagine most of the things you can see from small department stores priced at 88 to 188 pesos only. Thus, it's no surprise that a makeup junkie like me will be over the moon to check out all the cosmetics they offer.

There are a lot of products there; you can choose from foundation to falsies. I must say though, their makeup products have cute packaging and I love it. This time, I chose to buy the Ellefar Princess Duo Color Cheek because I felt like I needed more blushes to add in my makeup collection.

This is how it looks like:

One negative thing about shopping cosmetics in Daiso is they don't have testers. Thus, you can't see how pigmented their makeup are. You just have to take a risk and try it out for yourselves. Plus, the packaging is in Japanese except for the ingredients so it's really hard to understand what it says (unless you know the language).

The packaging is just normal, nothing out of the ordinary. It has a mini mirror which is really not that helpful if you're applying a blush. BUT, I would say that this is great for traveling because it's portable. It's smaller than most blush duos.

No filter -- Swatched 2 times

The product itself is beyond my expectations simply because it's pigmented. I'm surprised and happy to have found a cheap quality product. It glides smoothly and is easy to blend. However, I'm not much into shimmer blushes, I prefer matte. With that aside, this is really a great blush. In addition, I also like the fact that it's a blush duo. You can choose from light to dark depending on your mood.

Verdict:
I may buy again because of how affordable and pigmented it is. Although, I really am not a fan of shimmer blushes. I will recommend this to people who are looking for budget babies in cosmetics.

Love,

Shawill Vogue Noble Lipstick Review

Removing the cap, she slowly twist the tube and gently but swiftly swiped the product in her plump lips. And almost instantly, a vibrant color of her choice made her whole look complete.

And that's the power of lipstick.

Ahh if you've noticed, my make up obssession lately is focused on lipsticks. Ahem. Affordable lipsticks. I've been searching in malls for fab and worth it products that I can wear to accentuate my outfit. As they all say, a woman's best feature is her smile...pair it up with a fantabulous lipstick. Simple and nice trick if you don't have the money to buy extravagant jewelries. 

In this review I will be featuring the Shawill Noble Vogue, a non-matte affordable lipstick worth 128 pesos only. It has Vitamin E for moisturizing, water microspheres and steady color according to the packaging.

The packaging is simple, nothing too fancy. It has the common twist and cap design with the brand printed at the top. It twists smoothly, not like some affordable lippies that sometimes get stuck. The color variety they offer, on the other hand, is somewhat lacking. I've only seen 4-5 colors for this line in SM megamall and it ranges from different shades of pink to red. But I've seen their ig, this line actually has 9 colors with brown shades included. Plus, the colors are by numbers. Mine is 04 which is an orange-y red color. For the availability, you can check SM and Watsons for Shawill products. I bought this at SM Megamall.

My application went smoothly. I had no problems with it. It's very pigmented. Moreover, it does not have an overwhelming smell, rather kind of like sweet scented perfume which I'm in awe with. The lipstick do transfer so unfortunately it does not last that long. In my experience, it only lasted for two hours because I ate oily dishes and it wiped the product off. Also, it's not that light weight on the lips. But the good thing about this is it moisturizes your lips well, thus, you can just reapply all you want and it won't be drying to your lips.

Summary:
Price: 5/5
Packaging: 3/5
Availability: 5/5
Product: 4/5
Longevity: 2/5

Verdict:
I'm loving this product because of how affordable and pigmented it is. Although there is a problem with its longevity, I will still buy again. There's no problem in re applying due to the fact that it doesn't make your lips dry.

Love,

Ever Bilena Shade Lipstick Review with Swatches

Affordable lippies, anyone?

Lipsticks are trending nowadays. From the coveted matte lipsticks to dazzling liquid lipsticks, lippies have a wide range of designs. This is why I can't stop going GA-GA over them. BUT, as we all know a lot of popular lippies are really expensive and makes a dent in our precious savings. (Even the drugstore ones, to be honest)

I chanced upon a makeup sale at Shopwise. Selected cosmetics on Maybelline and Ever Bilena were half off so I browsed the shelf. I skipped Maybelline because Ever Bilena is much cheaper. So I just focused on Ever Bilena. (By the way, it is a local brand in the Philippines which sells cheap quality cosmetic products). They have two lines of buy one take one lipsticks. The other was a normal lipstick but what stood out was the Ever Bilena Shade Lipstick which has a buy one take one promo for only 95 pesos.

95 Pesos for two lipsticks!

This is how it looks like. Personally, I don't like how the packaging was designed because I prefer sleek simple lipsticks like EB Matte. The design of this line is just overwhelming and over the top. It's plastic, and like the classic design, you have to twist it. However, what I noticed was it was hard to twist at times because it gets stuck.

What attracted me to this lipstick was its unique center. I was really wondering what the white was. The saleslady told me that it's a moisturizer which is a PLUS since there are lipsticks that are drying to the lips. I'm hoping this one doesn't.

I bought the bundle with the Rosy Mirage which is a pinkish nude color and Red Vixen which should be a classic Marilyn Monroe red. There are a lot of choices but it came with bundles of two. I wanted to have a nude plus a red so I chose this.

The colors are sheer and it reminds me of a lip balm. The texture of the product is very smooth which makes the lippie glide to your lips perfectly. Based on the swatches in my hand, the colors were true to the packaging.

Okay, so the red vixen was a little lighter than what I imagined it to be in the camera. BUT, in person it was reddish orange which is a great color. The rose mirage, on the other hand, turned out great. All in all, I have no problems with the colors.

Although it's very sheer, you can just apply and apply again because it's really light on the lips and does not give off that heaviness that most lipsticks do. PLUS, it does moisturize your lips really well.

For the longevity, I applied the Rose Mirage at 6pm and I snapped a picture of my lips after 4 hours: 10:00 pm.

As you can see, the color is still there and you can't see any patches gone which I'm surprised about since it transfers. I was really shocked because I expected the color to almost vanish because of its price and the fact that it transfers to everything.

Summary:
Price: 5/5
Packaging: 2/5
Availability: 5/5
Product: 4/5
Longevity: 5/5

Verdict:
I am totally in love with this product because it's like a tinted lip balm in its moisturizing effect. It does not dry my lips at all. In addition, it's light on the lips. Plus, it's only 95 pesos! I am going to buy another for sure.

Love,
